Thump Sound!? Please Help!!!

Last night a friend and I had some fun... not to much though... I dropped the cluth to spin once, than I just a stand still or whatever its called sorry and now i'm getting a thumping sound... not sure whether its coming from the front or the back. The only thing I can think of is that when I spun around, the steering hit fairly hard when it hit full lock... but this couldn't cause it? Could it be the diff?
All help is very appreciated!!! Need as much help as quick as possible, thank you!!!!

You got to try to figure out where the sound is coming from. Front, under, or rear that will help figure it out. casue at this point it could be anything. is the car working fine minus the clunking sound?

bump i dunno of anything thats going to make a sound standing still, most of the time that involves the tranny or clutch issues.

Is it once per wheel revolution, or is it faster like driveshaft frequency?

Can you feel it as well as hear it?

probably a small criter you ran over -- and still alive, begging for release. Check your propeller shaft and u joints.

Seriously, check your suspesion parts/components, bushings.

I can feel it as well as hear it. As far as I can hear and feel, it does happen once per wheel... the faster I go, the more it happens. My bushings in the diff do need to be replaced, could that be it? Could the bushings do this? I'm checking everything this morning, so hopefully I find the problem.
Thanks for the help!

get the car up on a rack and start looking for things loose or broken. could be the motor mounts or diff bushings.

Were you close enough to a curb or anything else to hit it and bend a wheel? And it's now hitting the suspension or the brake calipers? A "thumping" sound like you describe would be something like that. Driveshafts and other smaller metal parts don't usually sound like a "thump."

You need to get under the car and inspect (or get a garage to do it).

Not to be a hard-a**, but there are too many things under there that could make a thumping noise for us to speculate more without more input and effort from you!

Glad you found it and the car wasn't broken. I thought it sounded like a wheel problem.

Back to square one got the rims back and was not the problem. I've gone over the car and think its either the wheel bearings, or my diff. My bushings in the diff did need to be replaced but was told it wasn't an issue at all... any ideas? Thanks guys!

Bad diff bushings will definitely cause a clunk. Get them changed first.
