throwing a CEL...any suggestions?
throwing a CEL...any suggestions?
ok so this is kinda weird, sometimes i throw a CEL and other times i'm fine
...and when i do throw a CEL i can turn the car off and it will go away, but sometimes it doesn't
. i have no clue what it is...but i noticed that it comes on more now after i started venting my stock BOV, would this cause me to throw a CEL?

what was listed in the link was a HOW-TO for checking the code.
so to answer your question, it doesnt matter. if your CEL ever lights up while driving, check it out to see what it is
besides, it only takes a minute to do it!

could be an egr light if you're car is cali or 94+. my car was getting an occasional light and the egr plug was loose and would occasionally lose contact and trip the cel. it's a blue plug between your intake pipes and uim. i don't have a pic, but if your code says egr, that's likely your problem.
one more quick question guys...i know this may sound stupid...but in the tutorial it says to bridge TEN and GND w/ wire, what does this mean...just stick some wire connecting the two holes? sorry for me being such a n00b.
