This should be the part number: 16-5100-N315

However, unless a Mazda dealer has one in stock, I doubt you'll find one local. You might check with a Ford dearlership and see if that part cross-references with one on their cars.

Get an OEM Mazda part. If you can't get one today, wait until Monday. Don't get some cheapo Napa part. You will regret it if you do.

My clutch just failed after about 10,000 miles.
It is an ACT S/S.
"My" mechanic said it was the throw out bearing.

I have never seen general discussion about clutch failures being common, or especially due to the throw out bearing.
Is this a common failure? Why not use one from NAPA?
(I've got a lightened flywheel and about 350rwhp, if that's applicable here)

Thanks all.

Because it will be an inferior quality part that is in a location that is difficult to replace.

I don't want to sound like a d!ck, but "inferior quality" doesn't necessarily mean it will fail quickly. Please be more specific for me. (2% reduction in life, etc)
If you said "the OEM will typically fail after 50k miles and the "NAPA" one will fail after 10k miles" well then I'd say, "oh, I sure as hell will buy the OEM then".

Sorry to be a stickler, but I can't take advice from anyone (internet or not) without hearing the reason.

Under normal driving conditions, an OEM TOB will last as long as the clutch. Aftermarket parts of this type are ALWAYS of inferior quality, and will never last as long as OEM. This is accepted by nearly everyone that is knowlegeable about cars. Are you willing to risk having to pull the tranny prematurely because you wanted to save $15 on an important part?
