Throttle position sensor TPS Help

Hi,

My local Mazda has said both N3A118911 and N3Y313SL0 are disco'd.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a replacement that works with PowerFC? I have seen the threads about a millennia TPS working but I ordered one and the voltages can't be brought to RX7 spec.

Any help would be great.

i'm not sure about the UK, but the N3Y3-13-SL0 was never turned on in the US, it is available in Japan https://www.amayama.com/en/part/mazda/n3y313sl0

I thought that might be the case so I have put an order in for one on amayama but I know their website can show parts as available and then when you place an order they cancel it.

Fingers crossed they can get me one.

The OEM style TPS hasn't been available in a while. Mazda Japan made a TPS that has an adapter harness to work. They are gonna be a bit tricky to get since it's a Japan-only item, Amayama should be able to get them if anyone can.

Our TPS's are strange since they have a narrow range and a wide range output.

Fortunately TPS's don't go out that often. Is yours legitimately bad or broken? That's pretty uncommon to happen.

The housing was very badly cracked and in trying to repair it I have basically destroyed it. Although in doing so I did discover that one of the internal pins had come loose and I'm reasonably certain it was the source of my issues.

Frankly I'd try and find a good used one first.

That was my plan but the only one I have been able to find in the UK is £300 whereas a new one (if they have it) from amayama is £350 delivered.

So I am going to try that first!

Not that it matters, there's a rough looking cheap TB off a V1 RZ on yahoo, complete with TPS at present. After all the bank fees and shipping, maybe still cheaper to buy the new sensor though!

Usual cause of TPS damage is engine removal and it wedged against the firewall.

There is a list of new old parts Mazda reissued. I think the TPS is on the list. It was like Y45,000. Would Mazda Motorsports be a place to look?

I saw an FD3 TB conversion kit for using a Ford TPS. It didn’t say anything about this, but I was sort of assuming it may be for an aftermarket ecu application. Not entirely sure though.

Here are the new restoration part numbers, not sure which is which:

One might be for automatic. Can we present these part numbers to any dealer and expect they will retrieve?

The reissued part number is what I tried with my local Mazda dealer but their system showed it as discontinued.

I tried the part number from line 9 and the UK system showed it as not available/discontinued.

My local Mazda dealership in the UK couldn't supply using those part numbers.

Hmmm. Could be they have not bothered to update.

I wonder if someone with a Mazda Motorsports account could check with them.

I have several spare TPS, but not for sale.

I often lend them out locally for troubleshooting.

Hi,

Is that used units or aftermarket?

If they are aftermarket do they work with PowerFC?

Thanks

I've got two new TPS on order for customers and so far I haven't had any indication that they aren't available

Yeah I think that new TPS is Japan only, not available through US or other parts dealers.

You may be able to order from Amayama.com
