Talking Throttle to the floor.. No power

AT idle my boost gauge ticks. Went to an exhaust shop and noticed my cat was clogged. got a new pipe welded in and has a bit more power but i still put it to the floor and takes like 4 seconds to rev up higher. I hear a rattle from somewhere near the front, turbos spool up and sound fine and same with my wastegate. seems to backfire more than often. does it just need to be ran and cleared out more? please help thank you !

What mods?
Have you checked ignition, could be misfiring.

Timing, check your timing. Better yet check your two crank angle sensors on the top right corner of your main pully. They are notorious for breaking there mounting tabs and becoming misaligned.

Check the map sensor hose first of all.

Did this just happen out of the blue?

i think your options are:

1. hose to MAP sensor came off.
2. other misc vacuumn line/boost line has come off
3. blown apex seal.

jumping vacuum gauge is a bad thing...can you build any boost at all?

Just check to see if the little hose has come off the sensor.

I had pretty much the exact same thing happen to my car once. Was the hose to the MAP in my case.
EDIT: infact the hose to the MAP had popped off over near the throttle body i my case. It didnt disconnect from the sensor itself..

try changing your plugs. They could be fouling out.

The motor is toast. Same exact thing happened to me. Stop driving the car and get a compression test. In my case, I lost two apex seals on rear rotor and destroyed the rear housing. It also took out
My secondary turbo when a piece of seal went through it. The more you run the motor now, the more damage you are doing.

And I know what you mean about the boost gauge, it ticks and bounces.

This could be caused by a blown apex seal sure, because you're going to be missing 2 of your combustion pulses, but it could also be caused by any number of vacuum problems on a stock turbo car.

I completely agree, however, in this case I think it's pretty clear that he lost the rear rotor. Especially because he is mostly stock with 90k km on the motor.

Is the motor hard to start, more so than usual?

Sorry to break it to you but a compression test will confirm a blown motor. If you need a rebuild, contact Banzai Racing as they have some of the best prices and work around.
