pos fd..... time to party.

been not doing anything for far too long, finally got some parts together and started on the fd. first things first, had to finish working on my cousins project before we could start....... put this

into this

it gets far better gas mileage than the v10 that was in there. so i moved the fd into the shop in my little corner where **** gets done.... at a very slow pace because i dont know what im doing half the time.

the interior is equally as awful as the horrendous orange exterior

this is as far as i had made it before i stopped, i got the turbo and the fuel stuff in and it was running with no intercooler pipes on a power fc, then i decided for some stupid reason that power fc was not the way to go and bought a haltech e8 and some ls1 coils. the car was auto and that had to change as well, had a friend bring me back a low mileage tranny, push pull adaptor and an osgiken twin plate set-up, still need a shiter and a starter.

decided to pull the whole motor and reseal the oil pan and clean a bunch of filth that resides in rx7 engine bays

put on some coilovers

they charge 180 bucks for an adaptor to use a manual driveshaft with a auto diff....... yeah i have a drill, i will keep that money for green/yellow arrow window stickers and fatlace t shirts.....

parts parts and more parts

this headliner looks like ****, not sure what direction i should go with this car, it just looks like **** everywhere

wheels, ssr something or other, x8 x9 +38 awesomeness, i will be featured on stanceworks for sure.

how i left it today, starting again in the am, i hope to have the driveline in so i can start working on the harness.

still rockin my daily, this is the longest i have ever kept a car, hope it keeps treating me well, i think the timing chain guides are going to need changing soon.

so whats the easiest way to get the orange out of my life? maaco? i know i dont feel like sanding through that shitty *** paint job. im 90% sure im going to run e85, the power will be in the 350 area until i can afford to do a real fuel system. any input is greatly appreciated.

for only 350 on e85 get a bosch 350 from rx7store and run as big of injectors as you're willing to afford right now. All new line is advised.
for ~500 on e85 I'm running twin walbro 255s, 1000cc primaries and 2000cc secondaries with the PFC.

Dude, you have a sweet workspace. That's a nice daily. Is it a 540i 6 speed? I would love to have one of those.

later down the road im planning id injectors at all four corners, 1/2 inch supply to rail, twin walbros. that should get me there, on your setup, did you have to run ai to get 500?

the workspace is awesome, its an 8000 sqft storage space for a brake and clutch machine shop, i have crazy huge parts cleaners that are like dishwashers for car parts, huge blast media blast cabinets that you just throw stuff in and let it get blasted from every angle, and the ability to weld aluminum. my family owns the shop and they let me use that space for my projects. the bmw is a 540i/6 that i try to leave alone but i have done a few things, m5 sways, short shifter, x pipe to m5 muffler, clutch delay valve delete, full cooling system overhaul, and now i need to do the timing chain guides, not ooking forward to that.

Sweet. So that means you have no excuse for not getting the car running Cool Bee-emm though. Those are hard to find.

Definitely not Maaco!!! It's just a matter of how much you want to spend I guess. That orange is.......unique, that's for sure. I actually don't mind it but it'll probably wear out its welcome quick on top of all the attention it'll get. I can't believe the shop painted behind the fenders.....that's nuts. But then they left stuff on the front beam so they didn't fully paint that. Weird.

While the engine is out, I'd go ahead and hit it with some satin black to clean it up and get rid of that orange around that area....unless you think of an exterior color and spray it with that. Looks like a fun project!

its not necessary, the knock suppression of the e85 is plenty and water injection will only make the air/fuel mixture harder to ignite.
