Thoughts on this twin turbo setup

hey guys,

so my motor is streetported and has 2mm rotary aviation seals in it

i just got a really good deal on these turbos

they're twin Greddy TD05H-18G with twin Tial wastegates

the size of these turbos are as follows, or at least what i could find

Wheel trim: 55.1 compressor, 76.8 turbine
Housing sizes: 8cm2 (this converts 0.57 A/R)

going to build custom manifold similar to the one pictured, its going to have equal length runners to each turbo and it'll be one turbo per rotor

i've done alot of research and read all of Howard Coleman's threads and all, thats how i decided to go ahead with this project, but i'd like to get everyones thoughts on this

so here are my questions

-would it be better to run 2 separate wastegates hooked up to my boost controller, or should i run one larger wastegate? *my logic says go with one larger wastegate so that equal boost from both turbos can be more easily controlled* thoughts on this???

-plain and simple - what do you guys think about this setup?

-what kind of response do you think i should expect from this setup? (i.e. when i'll get into boost, how much lag, etc...)

-about how much PSI should i run to make power but still keep the car relatively reliable and safe, i might be overthinking this, but i figure i shouldnt boost too much more than like 16 psi or so because with 2 turbos i'll be flowing alot more volume of air???

-what kind of power should i expect?

Interested to see how this goes as well, sorry no tech input I can offer though.

Alex from SP Engineering had this setup in his yellow FD which
now has a 2JZ, you might want to contact him.

I've seen a single 18G with internally gated 8 cm^2 turbine housing do over 300whp (on a low reading dyno) on an STi at about 20psi, stock intercooler and exhaust manifold/up pipe. Friend of mine had twin 16G's on his 3000GT and that thing would move.

Twin 18G's on 350Z's and G35's can make over 600whp (race gas and boost above 18psi). But airflow required by a 3.5 liter engine to make this much HP is different than what a rotary would need. Boost psi would then be much higher as well, so you'd be in a different section of the compressor map (less efficient section) than on the same turbos in the Z or G.

Those common MHI/Greddy turbos (16G, 18G, 20G) in general like high pressure ratios
