To those without a catalytic converter

So I've been driving my newly rebuilt 13b for about 200 miles now and the thing seems to smoke more than I'm used to. I don't THINK it's a coolant or oil leak but wanted to double check with other FD owners without catalytic convertors. Does you car smoke? If so how much and what color?

Rebuilt engines will smoke a lot as you burn off the assembly lube and stuff. I don't have firsthand experience as to how long it will do that though.

Mine smoked a bit more after the swap, but I believe it's because of the rich map I am using...

yeah, it smells like normal exhaust. Just kinda suprised at how much smoke there is. I'm using the pfc base map so it might just be that it's very rich at the moment.

I'll try to grab some pix.

Itll be very rich, and will smoke for a couple hundred miles probably. My car still had abnormal amounts of smoke at 500 miles when i ran it in, but it did have a cat then so it probably held some of the oil in there and burnt off gradually.
