For Those with gauge cluster problem
Here's for those of you that have a gauge cluster problem. be it water adn oil pressure pegging, tach & speedo cut off intermittently or not working at all. and especially those who's gauge work ig on but eng off, but with engine on it cuts off. but if you turn the steering wheel it works again. i've see 3 cases of this one so here's how i fixed it.
i RE grounded all 3 just in case. now works PERFECT Enjoy!

what about for the odometer reading?
When the parking lights aren't on...they light up fine, but once you turn the parking lights on the odometer lights just black out.
At night..i basically can't see the odometer at night with the lights on.

I continue to have a short though, when I hit the breaks it causes the parking lights to come on? Sheesh...

you may wanna try this anyway. i know my odometer cut out on it's own. not necceserily with my lights. but hey younever know. might be one of the right side grounds. onthe right picture...they controls alot ofthe bulbs. something may be crossing. i do know that a common problem was on the green paper cicuit board onthe back of the cluster, if you look around and especially follow the ground line... there was a spot that would burn through. might be that. an ex mazda guy that's now a tool guy told me it's happen alot. on our 7's. they would solder a small piece of wire to jump the burnt spot.
check it out
later.
