thinkin of sellin...opinions??

I've been workin on my project car for the past 3 years and have put less than 1500 miles on my car. I love this car, but it seems like all i do is spend money on this thing! Soo now i'm entertaining the thought of selling my baby.

I've spared no expense and bought all genuine products from japan and had work done by professionals. it really paid off. people stare at the car and i get complements everytime i drive it out, but i can't keep spending money on her!~here's a list of mods. let me know if anyone is serious about buying.

I've spent over 48 grand and would like to get at least 32k out of it

what's your opinion????
engine:
xs big port and polished
rotary power built motor with less than 1500 miles
(all brand new components including housings and water pump)
ianetti ceramic seals
XS Drag turbo kit with To4X2 turbo (supports 750 hp)
Blitz fmic
Koyo Radiator
RC 850cc and 1600cc injectors
Greddy pulley kit
RP ast
RP resonated midpipe
RP staight midpipe
Apexi GT spec exhaust

electronics:
apexi- power fc
power fc commander
avc-r
el boost gauge
3 bar map sensor

cosmetic:
FEED- genuine
Front bumper v2-r
carbon sideskirts
front fenders
mirrors
headlight cover
RE-amemiya
rear tailight cover
rear street diffuser(not installed yet)

mob works paint
bride exas seat
tein coilovers with pillow ball mounts(not installed yet)
..and soo much more...but these are the substantial upgrades

looks like a 20-22k car to me

but thats my opinion

thats the problem with modding, you can NEVER get back the money you put in..

so my question is, why mod the car when you know you're not/cant keep it?

but holy crap, 48 grand??!??! dude, keep the car, save yourself the regret..

Hate to say it, but one thing which is going to kill your resale value is the stock rims. You spent all that money on the body and still have the stock rims which don't really work with the flared fenders (unless those are just old pics).

There have been very few FD's sold near the $30k range. You might be able to get $22k or so for it depending on how long you can wait for the right sale.

I agree with everything that has been said above. Keep the car, you will not get anywhere near 32k.

You could always part it out. I might be interested in getting some parts from you.

it doesn't sound like you have anything left to do to the car. just keep it and enjoy your hard work and money. even if you part it out, you won't get close to what you put into it.

i just sold my first FD which I spent a lot of time and money rebuilding and selling it was an annoying experience. at least i broke close to even on mine at 15k.

and to add to what i said and other people here, you already almost completed to having one of the best looking FD's to date..complete it with rims and be set..look at it every morning and be happy at the work you done..why sell it knowing you DEF lost money on the deal and having that conscious that the person you sold it to might destroy everything you did to that car?

with an investment you made into this car, selling it will only make it more dumb because not only did you lose money modding the car (since you cant get it back) but selling it will only make you lose more money..

Nooooo! Don't do it. I've contemplated selling mine many times, but I realized, I like to reap my own rewards. A new buyer won't appreciate your FD the way you do. He won't feel the same sense of accomplishment you feel because you're the one who put in all the work. You've got a pretty damn good looking FD, so don't let it go.
