sooo confused.... bought this 93 rx7 was a theft recovery. they tried to pull the rear end of the secondary turbo off, and failed. so it was hangin on by the c clip but not in the groove...i am pretty sure it needs an or ing because it just blows air when i hit second boost. if there is not a rubber oring supsoed to be in there, then i dont know what is wrong.. help!!!

No it does not have an O-ring in there , the heat would kill it even on the intake side .You may not have seated it well .need more info ask if no one else chimes in .

going from memory here, but yes, for some reason I think there is an o-ring behind the compressor "plate."

I can check tomorrow and if there is, I probably have a good used one around here that you can have.

Are you talking about the rear turbo to y-pipe tubing? If you are, there is no o-ring. It's been a while since I had it off. I'm pretty sure that there is supposed to be a gasket there.

I think I misunderstood where you were trying to describe, but there is an o-ring on the compressor side. It's location is marked in the attched picture.

As for the c-clip, Needle nose pliers are the best thing that i have found. Then just use a flat screw driver to get it all the way out. Just becareful, that thing will come out with some force.
