Thanks For Your Prayers

Some of you might remember that I was diagnosed with a very bad form of leukemia(MDS) in early June. Luckily it was detected before it started affecting other bodily functions.

Since then I had two chemo treatments at preparation for a bone marrow transplant(the only true posible cure). The first chemo put the cancer in remission but with leukemia you can't trust that.

I was released yesterday after having the bone marrow transplant done last week. My doctor said my progress as been great since the first chemo. I will have to stay home another 3 months as the new blood/bone marrow(I was B+ now I am O+) learns it new home.

Then I can start back to work with the immune system of a young child.

I heartfully thank all of you that had sent me e-mails and who prayed for me!

Chuck Westbrook

Get well soon, so you can tear up the streets of Houston with the rest of the 7s.

I didn't realize what had happened..but I am glad that you are recovering. Bone marrow transplants are very complicated but it seems like your in control - keep it up and stay healthy

Chuck,

I am so glad you are feeling much better, this is Ken from Milwaukee.
Chuck helped me out when I flew to Houston to check out a CYM a few years ago. Even though I did not buy that CYM; however, I got a warmed welcome from Chuck while I stayed in Houston just for one day! Chuck took me to visit some other rotorheads in the Houston area as well.
It is people like Chuck that keeps this small community together.
I sincerely wish you the best!

Best regards,

Ken Yeung
