Exclamation Test car wanted!

GReddy Performance Products, Inc. is looking for (1) 93-96 RX-7. The car would be needed for one full day (dropped off in the morning and picked up at night) on one of the following days: September 22-26. To be considered, the car must meet the following requirements:
-Must have stock rear bumper
-Must have factory catalytic converter (hollowed out cats are unacceptable)
-Must retain the factory twin turbo configuration. No single turbo upgrades.
-Vehicle owner must reside in the surrounding Southern California area (close proximity is key for final test fitment)

To compensate the vehicle owner for their time, they will have an option of selecting, at no charge, one of the current systems we have available now or waiting for a final production unit of the new exhaust. All applicants, please contact Matt or Kenji @ 949-588-8300. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Wow beat the **** out of the vechicle and you get a new exhaust.

Damn its tempting. =P.

hehe, I believe APEXi is doing the same for an eclipse.

I would offer more then an exhaust expecially since many rx7 owners already have new exhausts.

Maybe a new turbo system with intercoolers would be nice. =)

What are you talking about?

GReddy needs a whole car to test. They don't need just an exhaust.

James,

You think I need a boost gauge with the above mods. I've been trying to get a Defi D-Gauge but none are readily available. How real is the possibility of a boost spike with the downpipe, stock cat, and RB Duals.

Thanks,

Victor

Boost isn't going to go crazy but it is going to flow significantly better and thus allow for more boost. It probably won't be enough to do damage unless conditions are just right. Say a cold morning, CA gas that's rated at 91 octane (car calls for 93 I believe), old injectors that haven't been cleaned, etc.

A boost gauge is cheap insurance. If you are boosting over 10Psi it'll give you the chance to back off ... until you can add fuel or dial your boost back to 10.

PM me if you have more Q's ... either that or we should start a new thread rather than hijack this one.

Actually the car calls for 91 octane.
