Teh 7 never loses! But it DOES crash

Minding my own business doing about 45mph on wet road when dont know how, rear tires locked, car crossed other lane, did 180 into a parking lot and hit a phone pole support wire.Maybe it was the only way to get me to change the damn front bumper......and for some ODD reason,my brake lights wont turn off.

As retaliation for the bumper I think the car decided to commit suicide lol... j/k

Seriously though. That's the strangest crash I've ever heard. Is there more to the story?

Sorry about the car BTW

Rear diff locked up? S'been known to happen in the DSM world if the transfer case runs dry (due to leaky driveshaft yoke plug) it'll fail causing all 4 wheels to lock up at speed.

good news is:

you get to get rid of that fugly bumper, nice new diff (possibly) maybe even sneak in some new suspension if you dont' have a set up yet.

bad news is:

it just sucks to crash your ride especially in that kinda situation... might wanna get the rear calipers and diff checked. only 2 things to cause a rear lock up b/c it's a horridly little chance for 2 wheels bearings to go at once.

also... sorry about your car. i know how it feels to wreck it... my problem though was i wasn't driving my car... someone just ran over my front

good luck bro. sorry

Los

p.s. sorry for sarcasm, thought it might cheer ya up =-)

thnk you for the kind thoughts gentlemen.I took the car to the bodyshop already and am about to go in a few minutes to take them a 99 bumer for replacement. As far as the accident is concerned I really dont know what happened, other than just locking up.I DID go look underneath the brake pedal and found something odd, that it makes me want to go to JPR and check out his cars to see if the pedals all look the same, but either which way, itll get fixed. Also,I dont know if the insurance company covers the rer or if thats something that has to come out of my pocket, ill have to find out,as well as the rim is concerned, cause theyre not cheap.Again, thank you all for your thoughts and wish me luck!!

P.S.Good luck to all of you going to Rotorfest and please be careful.

Please let us know what you find out about this. I'd hate to see it happen to anybody else.

I think this might be the problem too; My boss was driving his conquest home on the freeway doing 65 and his diff locked on him and he did a full 360 before hitting the rail and coming to a stop. Next day opened the diff up and poored out the fragment of whats was left.

ALL differentials can lock up on you. A lot of times, people neglect to service them regularly (20k miles).

A minimal problem considering the damage but check the switch on the brake pedal for your brake light issue.
