Water temp Gauge question

I am planning to get a aftermarket water temp gauge but the only thing I dont like is to drill a hole in the waterpump housing. I was wondering if a water temp hose adaptor is a good idea? I also have brand new Silicone hoses that I still need to put on but since I am going to put them on I thought I can save some time doing it all at once. I was thinking of getting one simular to the one in the link below..................

With the use of an adapter many water temp gauge senors can be used in the factory holes. Thats how my Greddy sensor is mounted.

Not sure what you mean, so what you are saying is that you removed the factory sensor out and put the Greddy sensor in the factory hole? So as a result the OEM temp gauge is non functional? Thanks for the reply

if your trying to figure where to put the temp sender for your new gauge, you can tap the throttle body coolant line and then u dont have to drill into anything.

look here: http://home.ptd.net/~blouzbee/guides/

sorry if i misunderstood your post.

Wow that is a good write up. So where do I get a 1/4" T pipe from or what ever that gold thing is called?
