Sure, it can be flooded:

BTW, I edited the title of your post to make it a little more descriptive.

yeah, mahjik is right, it can be flooded. Mine was flooded for a long time, cause my starter went bad, I couldn't get the plugs hot enough to burn the excess fuel and it just kept flooding even when I push started it. I finally got the starter fixed and it runs great now, I can actually start the car again and drive it.

You can dump alot of fuel into the engine during that warmup time.

If he is at the dealership, he should know how to unflood it. Otherwise you may be waiting days before you can try it again.

Here's the simple way.

1. Remove the spark plugs.
2. Remove the fuel pump relay; make sure to depress the gas pedal all the way when cranking over in #3 and 4.
3. Crank over the engine for 10 seconds and let sit for a few minutes.
4. Crank over the engine again for another 10 seconds and let it sit overnight.
5. Most of the fuel should be pushed out of the plug holes, and the wait time is to get the fuel to evaporate.

If you need it right away, you can use the ol' ATF trick. You do until #4, then for number 5 you put in about a tablespoon of ATF via a dropper into each leading spark plug hole. Put back the plugs, put back the fuel pump relay, Get ready for alot of smoke. Make sure that your battery is fully charged, and crank the engine over without touching the gas pedal, until it starts.

Good luck.
