basically you'll feel more engine torque or side to side movement. Most easily noticed when dragging motorcycles cause they actually give us a race I have a left motor mount I let go for 100 shipped.

One symptom for some will be that the DP will hit the frame rail under hard accelleration, sometimes more prominent when turning left. Another symptom will be a thick gooey black ooze around the sub frame. The mounts are oil filled (more like tar filled), and when they crack they make a mess.

I replyed to your other thread also
For the stock mount, Try MAZDAFORMANCE they always have good prices
but be forewarned the STOCK unit is very expensive
If you don't have any VIBRATION problems at idle, get the Torque Brace, It will cure the DP problem and extend the life of the Motor Mount.
The Mounts have TWO failure modes:
1. a Tension failure where the Fluid filled Dounut pulls away from the base and allows the engine to rock over to the right under torque loads (sounds like your problem), and,
2. a compression failure where the dounut itself splits and all the "Fluid" gets squeezed out alowing the engine to settle and transmit vibration directly to the chassis (this spliting of the donut can be caused by the tension described above also) this type of failure is charecterized by excessive vibration at idle.
the first failure mode usually only effects the LEFT mount, the second can effect both, and when the Left one fails in tension it can lead
to the right side failing in compression.

Thanks Max - very helpful info.
From another archived thread I found some info about mounts available through rotorsportsracing.com which may be more firm and less expensive than stock. I'm giving them a call today.
