Question Syment block? or what is this?

Anyway, how do You call in english that inside rubber seal??
The problem is that is usured and make some noise and the wheel is not well fixed.
How much you think that it cost? is normal that i have this problem in a 1994 FD?
Thanks

The rubber is just a shield for what we call the "pillow block." The pillow blocks tend to go bad from normal usage even if no dirt gets in. There are 6 total pillow blocks and 12 dust shields. If one is loose, the others are not far behind and should also be replaced. In addition, there are 2 pillow blocks on each toe link and the outer ones usually go bad and should also be replaced.

There are threads on techniques to replace these if you search.

I got mine from Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda, his number is in the "stickies."

Its just a dust boot. I don't know of any aftermarket options so you should get it from Mazda. If it was torn for a long time contaminants and debris may have gotten in and worn out the pillow ball.

Ray Crowe's email address

This is what I have - email: hmkparts@aol.com

Some people have had better luck contacting him by phone. However, with the language difficulty, email is certainly worth a try.

I found when I replaced mine, that even the pillow ***** I thought were still good (no apparent play while on the car) were too loose when they were removed. So, yes, I suggest that all 6 be done at one time.

Dave
