Switching back to twin turbo from single
Switching back to twin turbo from single
Hello,
A very quick question, and one that is not easily searchable.
I'm in the market to buy another FD and with so many single turbo's out there...
how hard would it be to switch back to twins? if I got my hands on a pair...
I prefer twin, its sentimental--no need to sway me to switch to single
Thank you,
00

FD's with their twins on them exist. They're not that hard to find.

The question is finding a good set of twins that would last you a while. Most of the used sets I bought here had problems, in my case, the first two used sets had turbines rubbing up against housing. Even the BNR's I bought had to be rebuilt.
Thank u guys for all the input
Also, I am located in California and due to our super clean smog/registration stuff I'd rather pick something up in the state, easier than trying to get something out of state registered.
of course there are stock twins out there...but I don't want to let some low mileage well maintained low priced pass me by just because it has a GT35
(unless of course it is a bitch to switch back)
Thanks again!

My neighbor is selling his FD soon. Black, mostly stock, small mods, twins, good mechanical condition. If you are having trouble finding a car with twins down there, hop a flight up here and drive home.
you will also want an ECU that supports the twins . but honestly most of the FD's I see for sale have the twins still . but like stated above if thats what youwant I can guarantee you alot of people would swap the twins setup for your single setup .
