Swar bar mount prices

I went to the body shop the other day and noticed that the accident broke one of my sway bar mounts. I knew that they weren't very strong to begin with, but I wasn't planning on replacing them just yet. I did a search and only came up with 2 conclusions:

1) They are expensive as hell

2) Nobody included links to where I could buy them.

One more question, does the racing beat sway bar come with upgraded mounts?

Are you talking about the bracket that holds the radiator and the swaybar mount or the little U-shape thing? If it is the bracket they are around $50-$80 from the dealer. I think n-tech seels some that are beefed up but they are expensive also.

I like the Widefoot mounts the best. Do a search for "Widefoot" for more info. Other places that sell upgraded mounts:

http://www.mazdatrix.com/
http://www.m2performance.com/
http://www.srx7.com/

The RB sway bar does not come with their mount reinforcements. Besides, you need new mounts, not reinforcement brackets.

Are there any that aren't grossly overpriced?

You generally get what you pay for with these things. There isn't a big market for them, so they cost a lot. The Widefoot mounts include powdercoated aluminum castings and anodized billet parts with hardware. The other mounts available are mostly welded steel with paint or powdercoat. Compared to a lot of other parts for these cars, the mounts don't seem that expensive to me considering what you get.

Thanks for the input guys.

Look at this one. It's an ad for the racing beat sway bar and it says...

Improve the handling of your RX-7 with our 1.25- inch front sway bar. Each front sway bar is supplied with our reinforced heavy duty mounting bracket and replacement urethane bushings. Intended to be used as a matched set with our rear sway bar, this sway bar combo will improve the cornering ability of your RX-7.

The New OEM mounts (96+?) are MUCH stronger than the 93-95 Mounts and are what a deller will sell you now - check with MAZDAFORMANCE.COM they sell parts over the net at a good discount (about 30-40%) vs/ most dealers
Mazdaspeed (ex MAZDA Comp ) also sells a COMPITION bracket for around $50 I think the M2 mount is same as the Mazdaspeed mount

The "bracket" they are referring to is the 'u' shaped piece that clamps the bar & bushing to the bottom of the OEM (or aftermarket) MOUNT that bolts to the chassis

The Mazda Competition is not $50, its about twice that. And i've heard the same thing about the M2 one being the same as the Mazda Competition one

The M2 sway bar mounts are from Mazda Comp.
I tried to order a set from M2 but they were having a hard time getting them in and they told me they get theirs from Mazda Comp and to just order the mounts from Mazda Comp. That was last year

Here is a picture I had taken of the difference between the older version and the newer version...It is really only the extra top plate...
