Swapping Turbos

Will the stock twin turbo assembly from a 1994 Rx7 fit in a 1993 Rx7 perfect. Or will I need any new parts? Thanks

One thing you do need to watch for is that in '94 they started to include the restrictor pills on the primary compressor housings so you may have to remove the restrictor pills from the prespool and wastgate lines. Mechanically, they bolt on exactly the same.

Go to rx7.voodoobox.net and look at the vacuum line replacement page. He describes the restrictor pills in depth. Removing them will actually give you less boost.

It's the small pill in the line that comes off the TCA

Actually they are on the wastegate and precontrol acutuator lines not the turbo control actuator.

Don't worry about it. The WG and PC lines are a hell of a lot easier to get to than the TCA lines. We don't want to send our boy after the wrong line.
