Supercharged Roush...

What do you guys think? RX-7 w/ basic mods (dp/exhaust) be able to hang with a s/c roush. Just a stock GT motor with a Bolt-on s/c? I know it has alot to do with the driver but... what do you think?

absolutely, if your car is running propperly. You may lose, but you should be able to hang with him.

Do it from a standing start, uphill.

Oh you're in Nebraska, nevermind about the hill part.

I'm not sure about that Roush but the 360 and 380 models would eat you alive with those mods.

And what's up with Mach 1 Mustang's? Are they actually fast?

Someone told me they're fast as ****, cause of that rocker-hood ****, I don't remember what it's called...basically, the hood scoop sucks air directly into the motor via intake manifold basically. Similar to a WS6-design I suppose.

On a short, twisty road course a FD with basic mods would tear up the s/c Roush, out on the Hwy is a different story. Maybe a FD with intake, full exst, IC, and non sequental twins at like 14psi, that would stand a better chance aginst a 360 or 380 in a drag race. But even still the newer s/c Roush's hall ***.

It's a shaker hood, IIRC, and no, they aren't particularly fast.

Don't ever underestimate a properly modded FD. I took a 503 hp '04 Cobra (intake, headers, exhaust, blower, ecu, the works) w/ my FD on stock twins & dying motor (89K original miles, 9" vacuum at idle), and all bolt on's, stock fuel pump & injectors, running supposedly 13psi (I just recently found out I spike to as much as 1.04 bar (15psi) via the PFC @ 100% duty cycle. He SPANKED me off the line, but from a 30mph roll, I pulled way from him at 120+.

I didn't, wouldn't, don't.

I wouldn't drive one otherwise.

But if you can get off the line better than a Porsche (especially on a hill) you're doing VERY well... Cos damned if I can...
