The Super Overhaul is half done
Awesome write up! Someday when I have some time on my hands I plan on stripping everything down and checking/replacing worn out components along with servicing the injectors.
Ok, I got off my butt and did the the last page:

All of the pages have links at the bottom now.

Dude, that is one awesome writeup! This is the key to owning an FD - fix stuff BEFORE it breaks, and when you fix it, do it RIGHT.
I'm planning on doing a similar job soon. The previous owner of my car replaced the engine and all the vacuum lines - the car runs and boosts perfectly, but he used VERY thin crappy vacuum line, and I'm not confident in all the work that was done on the car. I'd much rather give everything an overhaul now than have it bite me in the future.
Anyhow, thanks for the great info!

Looks great. Let me give you a little hint though, stuff some old socks or put a piece of duct tape over the LIM to prevent anything from falling down into the engine.
I'll add my thanks to the list. I purchased a car that suffered from a small engine fire (and yes it actualy was small compared to what we usually see) that torched the stuff under the UIM. Just about everything I need to rebuild was covered in your detailed write up.
That will make my work much easier
Now if I can just get the time to work on it.

^^^ Haha...no, still running Rancho ride-height in the back. I hope I'll get a chance to wrench on it this week. We threw a Halloween party yesterday, so I've been a yardwork slave for the last week.

Sorry to bump a very old thread but I'm a recently new member and had the link to this awesome writeup bookmarked. I ment to print it out but didn't when I first saw it. Now I've been trying to print it out for the last two weeks but the entire rotormafia site is down. Does anyone have a mirror link please?
1. Go to Google
2. enter site:rotormafia.com super overhaul in the search box
3. click on the "cached" link
Hopefully it'll have what you're looking for. If not, you can try the Wayback Machine:
