stupid idle!

Hi guys I posted a question a while back about my idle being screwed up and I was told to adjust my TPS. Ive adjusted it a couple of times to see if I moved it a little if it would fix it Ive also tried adjusting my idle screw to see if that would help. Well it didnt fix it so I was wondering if there was anything else i could adjust? My problem is that sometimes randomly my idle will start dropping almost to the point of the car dieing .

Iacv

i had a problem something like that a while ago, check your IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE, its behind the UIM, removed it and check if youre getting readings through the harness first, then check the main valve. hope that helps.

Did you adjust the tps correctly or just move it around?

IIRC yes you do, or most people do.

And it couldnt hurt, it literally takes less than one minute to do.

Disconnect neg terminal on batt.

Reconnect neg terminal

Start and idle car.

Number one with Power FC a reset would do it good.

Or else stock ECU follow the above procedures.

This is a good read: http://www.fd3s.net/idle_adjustment.html
