Stripped Blot Head
So I pulled my motor and I am pulling everything off the block and on the mount for the power steering pump there is a bolt head that is striped. Any ideas on how to take it off?
Thanks,
Sean

Can you get a Visegrip on it? If not, I think there are some bolt extractors that I have seen somewhere that are kinda the inverse of an "easy-out." Maybe something like that would work. You could also grind a slot in the head with a Dremel for a large screwdriver, and then use an impact screwdriver to get it out.
had to deal with a lot of stuck bolts lately.. visegrip works for most, and i had to dremel one. don't do those gator grip things, it doesn't work, i tried. that went right back to cheap-mart for my $6 refund

It bends alittle. I've done pretty well with drilling out broken bolts, I have a drill doctor for sharpening. use low rpms, start small and push to center, and cool the bit off.
Everyonce in awhile the walls of the bolt grab the bit and it comes out nicely, never realized how.
Your technique is to let the bit flutes knock it out? or the tip?
How do you judge when to put the drill in reverse? when you can see the outline of the threads?
