street port... how do you know?
Besides taking the motor apart, is there any possible way to figure out if your housing has been ported in the past? Considering we're pulling low 13's with the g tech and only 8 psi of boost on the gauge I'm just curious....
Thanks

i asked this same question before...
it will pull a lot harder from 6500rpm on an seamlessly until redline. It will have a much lumpier idle and take longer for the idle to settle. And the vaccume will be lower.

If you are basing your info on G-Tech you are getting off on the wrong foot. I have seen G-Tech times being off by more than a second (faster than actual time).

Yeah, well the car definitely has always had a lopey idle. And it pulls very strong to 8k. In fact if it wasn't for the rev limiter it would probably keep pulling. And depending on the idle speed, it pulls 12-14 vac. I don't know if this is related... but it also belows a lot of blue smoke when you first start it.

BTW. A g tech can be a very accurate tool in the hands of someone who knows how to use it. From my experience ET's are usually just about dead on, and trap speeds are usually around 5 mph higher than the track due to the fact that the g tech records the speed AT the 1/4 mark, and the track does it 60 ft before...

We dont' have a stand alone ecu....
I've never had it over 8k btw. Does seem to pull hard up to that point though. May be just because we have a midpipe though. But I am curious about the vac being so low...
