I have searched and found some interesting info on FAN mods, but now I am thinking that my car has been modded, but not sure. When I turn my ignition to on (the position before starting the car) My fans come on. Is that normal? Also I drove to Fresno the other day and back (like total of 400 miles) and it seems my fan did not come on after I park my car. I always sit for a minute, then open my hood completely to allow it to cool off. My fan will sometimes come on after parking the car, but not always. When It doesn to come on, I just put the ignition to the first position for 20 minutes or so. The car never appears to overheat or get too hot. Even with all the driving it stayed just below half way mark.

Is this normal?

 

I guess my Question is should the fan on a 94 come on when you turn the key to the position prior to starting the engine or is only supposed to come on only when the engine is hot?
