Unhappy Strange boost pattern...

After having my turbos finally working right, I'm having a new boost problem. I can't seem to get my 1st turbo to make full boost, but my 2nd turbo makes a nice 11psi. My pattern is as follows...8-5-11. Weird, huh? Well, I took my 7 out on the highway, and in 5th gear I went WOT. As soon as the first turbo hits 8psi I can hear a wooshing noise, aka boost leak. However if I'm having a boost leak, wouldn't the second turbo not work as well? What could this possibly be, before I rip all the turbo hoses off?

Thanks for any and all advice

leak between the manifold & first turbo?

I am pretty much guessing... but if you are only getting it with the 1st turbo, it shouldn't be the usual y-pipe or IC ducting issues....

It's possible that you have the restrictor pills backwards. It's also possible that you have a sticky precontrol rod, or that the precontrol gate is propped open some how. Jack up your car and remove the lower turbo heat shield to gain access to the precontrol rod and gate. Remove the C-clip and make sure that the door closes all the way, and that the rod has to be pulled toward the gate's pin to be reinstalled. If the rod lines up cleanly with the gate pin, or past it, adjust the rod shorter.
I could be wrong, but it is the only thing I can think of right now.

Well, I found the problem. It ws the hose that goes to the blow-off valve. I had it too tight, and the clamp cut right through the hose which allowed boosted air to escape. I cut off the end of the hose and reused it, now I boost a nice 11-9-11 once again.
