You need to disassemble the turbo manifold to have access to the wastegate. Your only option is to port it bigger.

Go here for instructions. http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/3r...ov_nonseq.html

Ok then what is the use of an external wastegate?

Is there a need to have both ? or does it really depend on your set up.

the use of an external wastegate is used for aftermarket turbo setups.

you only use one wastegate per turbo.

the stock FD wastegates are on the turbos themselves, the reason why theres two is because they are 2-way twin-turbos. basically they are attached to each other.
one is used for the primary turbo, another for the secondary.

the primary turbo(the one that points to the front of the engine bay) works at low-mid rpms for quick response and the secondary(points towards the back of the engine bay) works in conjunction with the primary to maintain boost at high rpms

If you staying with the stock twins, you shouldn't have to mess with the wastegate at all. One exception that I can think of would be if your having boost creep issues. And even that would probably be solved easier by adding a little back-pressure (back) into the exhaust.

There's only one waste gate for both turbo's. The other one you may be thinking of is the pre spool door. You can't install an after market wastegate on the stock turbo's that I'm aware of.

Cant go stright is correct , ,,if you think the stock set up has two wastegates then you should not give advice. Not to be harsh , but what is wb123 to read as correct .

^^^ The danger of using ancient threads.

Domain for that website expired 5+ years ago, bit of a pity, as it had some good twins info.

Unless your getting bad boost creep leave the stock wg alone. What are you trying to do with your car? Keep it stock road warrior type deal? The stock turbos won't last that long over 12ish psi. And the twins will produce alllooot of heat if you pushing it past 12psi . I had the bnr twins seq before I went single.. loved it and was fun 18 maybe 20psi.. I can't remember it's been so long, but that block of turbo goodness will turn that engine bay into an oven
