Stock Seq. WG Question
Hi, can you open the wastegate by hand when you are looking at it from underneath the car and the heat sheild is removed??
I can't move mine. . . . so is that normal or is my wastegate stuck??(which would explain my boost problelms)

Remove the small c clip from the arm then slip the control rod off the pin . Now the arm should move very easy . If you do not remove the rod you can put vice grips on the rod and move it with some force .Over comming the spring is not that easy .
Hey, thanks a lot, I just did what you said and it moves freely.
That eliminates that as the problem now. . . .

BTW do you(or anyone else) know the best way to check the actuator for the wastegate??
If I give it vacum will that casue it to operate??

Like our air compressor
^ Well since your still awake you want to bring the compressor over so we can check it???
I really don't want jack the car up and take all this **** off again . . .

You don't happen to have an actuator lying around do you?

The proper way to move the actuator is with a hand pump like a mityvac. An air compressor - well - be damn sure you're not applying over 12psi or you will have an actuator problem.
