As long as it doesn't suck the hood down too much no worries. But I wonder if a little weld could be added to those hooks and then filed down.
Even someone with only the most rudimentary welding skills could do it, yes, because the quality of the weld is relatively unimportant. (Basically, as long as you can't knock the weld bead off with a hammer afterwards, I would call it good.)

I fixed mine with 3 Aerocatch hood latches and 2 RunCool hood louvers Might be a little extra work and not to everyones taste, but it works. My hood doesn't move at all
