Ok, off subject...Warning, people that have no interest in financial chat, stop reading now.
Where are you getting your information? I don't think you got the full picture from whom ever told you this. 30 yr. fix was never at 4% The 3 yr fixed was around there, but that meant 27 years of adj. mortgage. Prime rate (which is typically lines of credit) was at 4% but that's an adjustable rate mortgage. Which by the way is currently 4.25%. Oh, and before you attempt to go off on me like you went off on that guy for saying you're lucky. I am a MORTGAGE BROKER, I do know what I'm talking about. I realize you are just going by what your buddies told you, just doing you a favor and giving you the real story.

heh, I dunno hwo Jimlab missed this one but, Madboost, you wrote:

"err... do rx7's with v8's handle shatty? the idea always sounded appetizing to me, but only as a 2nd rx7 in an fc shell maybe. i would still want a turbo rotory motor in my nicest rx7, its just a big part of what the rx7 is, like it or not"

RX7s with LT1s or LS1s do not handle poorly. I believe they maintain their 50/50 weight distribution. I agree... if I wanted a v8, I'd go get myself a corvette and be done with it . Chuckle. Which I do hope to do oneday. Corvette... drool.
