Question Stock boost ?

why does the FD have a 10:8:10 boost, instead of a 10 all the way to redline?

In stock form, the turbos are sequential. So, the first turbo is active by itself until around 4500 RPM's. This is the transition which brings the second turbo online WITH the primary turbo. During this transition is where the boost dips to 8 PSI and then goes back up to 10 PSI with both turbos.

You can change the turbos to run non-seq, which means they both come online at the same time, thus removing the 8 PSI transition area. However, that means you have less boost in the lower RPM's where the primary turbo is active in the sequential setup.
