Best way to tap into wires?
Ok, I'm sure this must sound like a relly dumb question, but anyhow better ask now than slap myself on the forehead later....
What is the best way to tap into the wires at the ECU harness?
I know I could probably just use some wire taps from Radio Shack, but I wanted to know if there's a better way to do it. I'm worried that those taps might slice up the brittle copper strands running through the harness.
And what's the right AWG for those wires.
Please be gentle...*takes cover*

Srip a section of the wire carefully with a sharp xacto knife and then solder it. The only problem is you can't get heat shrink on the wire because you aren't cutting it. You will have to tape it, just use good tape. This is the right way to do it. Good luck

Hmm, I guess soldering would definately be the most reliable connection.
Gonna need to start doing some joga so I can contort myself to work in the footwell with a soldering-iron
Thanks guys.
