Starting problem - Need help & suggestion!

Here's the problem:
When I turned the ignition, the engine would crank normally, but it would not start. Checked the fuses & they are fine. When I jumped the battery, the car stated up fine. Drove fine, boosted fine, idle normal, no bucking, lights do not dim, radio is not staticky.

Could it be the battery? but if it was the battery, wouldn't it crank slow?

Could it be grounding problems? not really sure where all the ground wires are? could someone point out to me where all the stock ground wires are located?

I tried cranking 5-6 times before jumping the battery without the engine starting at all, would this hurt the engine/electrical system in any way?

Thanks, any help is appreciated.

Check your spark plugs and wires, and maybe your ignition coils.

The battery is an optima blue top. I've been using it with no problem for a long time now. Granted I've been using the battery for about 6 years now, so it is an old battery, but if there is not enough juice, wouldn't in crank slow.

Does an old battery loses CCA?
