searched forums but cant find the exact problem im having. i have a 93 touring. has power fc, single turbo. compression when i got it was 123 on all rotations roughly. problem was when i bought it sometimes it would start right up but if it didnt you just hit gas once and it would fire right up. past week or two i gotta keep hitting gas and cranking it over and itll finally start up. im clueless as to what to look into first... first fd after a few fcs and first turbo car. appreciate any help i can get. buddy said it might be coolant seal but hoping thats not the issue. car just hit 66000 miles as well.

i pulled intake off cause previous owner painted it hideous blue. stripped it and while i had the top off i changed new ngk plugs and decent set of new wires.
heat, age, overheating, a lot of factors. But the engine bay shouldn't smell like coolant unless it is boiling out. Are you getting lots of white smoke on starts? I would pressure test the system, I bought mine at harbor freight for like $80.

Yeah, smokes on start up but the line coming off oil tube is routed to pcv and I heard that'll make it smoke. Can't see any leaks but can smell it. Didn't think cooling system would affect how the car starts. Runs great after it starts and sometimes it starts right up.
