Before you do anything else. How's your fuel level? I've seen this many time where the tank is pretty darn empty, but will start but stall right after couple seconds.

More detail on vehicle. If you have recently done anything. Are you capable of doing a fuel pressure test? Do you have any tools for diagnostic? Have you done any technical work on the car?

Keep us updated.

Mine kept stalling ever time i stop at a light, or when ever i reverse and it has something to do when i pressed clutch. I read the old post and people had the same problem that i had, and it was actually the "clutch switch" After replacing it, fix my problem and it only cost me $20. I dunno if this might help you, good luck!

First, bluish smoke = burning engine oil. Second, stalling but able to drive home somehow.

Sounds like you have an engine not sealing correctly. Give it a compression check and you will be able to pin point what's exactly wrong with it.

I am thinking one of your seal is out. Get a compression test and let us know the result. Good luck.

clogged fuel filter (especially the "sock" in the fuel pump assembly)? If the car really is stock, it sounds like a fuel starvation issue.

I had that happen to me when my wiring harness was damaged. I think the thermosensor would lose signal and the ECU would shut the engine off. If your wiring harness is in bad shape that would be a very good thing to consider.

Good call on the fuel filter arghx.

Alot of the time car's not starting or stalling can be cause by something simple as a fuel filter. But replacing it is not as simple ;-P

yeah the fuel filter location is one of the biggest things about the FD that makes it a hassle to service. The 2nd gens had the filter located in the engine bay. the accessibility wasn't too bad, not as easy as a lot of Hondas but nothing like the FD.

does it stall when you turn? That can indicate a dirty low pressure "sock" filter on the fuel pump assembly

NB

no it hasn't stalled on turns seems to be on straits but when it stalls when i'm

driving i pull off to the side and start it again. Sometimes it starts right back up

but sometimes it just turns over for 10 or 15 sec. then starts and sputters while

starting .Sometimes i push the gas while starting it and blue smoke comes out

the back but it starts and the exhaust clears right up. I could drive for the rest of

the day and not have it happen again or i could go 10 ft and go through it all

again.

Do you know which thread you found this info in? I have the exact same problem and I'd like to investigate this further.

if fuel supply is not the issue then i would check electrical; you could have a bad ground caused by broken/loose wiring.

when was the last time you drove your car without this problem? have you modified/installed anything since then?
