SR20 are FWD setup commanly in north america.
We have the 240sx in North America; in Japan they have the Silvia, which is a 240sx with an SR20DET engine.
That's why the SR20DET -> 240sx swap is so popular here, because it's 100% bolt in.

The SR20DE has a silver valve cover like the one on his car. (no, they are not all FWD over here) and we even have a FWD based 4wd Turbo version.

The RWD SR20DE is the same externaly as the RWD DET except for the color of the valve cover and diferent oil pan ect.

INTERNALLY the SR20DE has higher compresion, and no oil sprayers... So if you put a turbo on it BOOM!
You guys are all aware that there is no sr20de in the 240sx right? Nissan didn't use the na motor for us. They instead used the motor from their trucks, the KA24DE, another NA motor. I'm not being mean or anything, it just seems from the posts that you guys are under the impression that there was a factory sr20de rwd motor in the us 240sx.
Thanks

However the next obvious step is for you learn to form cohearent sentences. We are all now dumber and less mature for hearing everything you have said throught this thread.
I promise this will be my last post on this thread. You have definitely raised the bar within these posts with your abilities as well. I just now chose to say within instead of the word "throught" as you have chosen. BTW, nice choice! I also wanted to use the work "cohearent" as you used, but all I could find in the dictionary was the word coherent. I should have looked in my 5th addition redneck dictionary.
"240 single turbo" OUCH! You know how to hit a guy where it counts. Hey, I have twin turbo's not a single turbo! You had better take that back! BTW, is "studing" where you go to the bar and try to pick up easy women?

You are right, there is no SR20DE in the 240SX(United States). However, I have owned a Sylvia "same thing" with the RWD SR20DE NA. I live in Japan, and the engine in the car that is in this thread is from japan. For all intents and sports car purposes let pretend that the USA 240 does not exsist.

There is no NA SR20DE of any knid that is the same internally as the turbo DET engine.

This will be my last post on the 240 subject also. There just wasnt even anything worth responding to. I enjoy a challenge, have someone else tell you what to type.
