SR20DET'd RX7 Dyno Results

Just a quick note. The motor is a bone stock $400 long block and these results are all with 93octane pump gas.

360hp@wheels with peak hp occuring at approximately 7200RPM. I will post dyno charts and pics by morning. I think we can get about 375hp@wheels as we have not maxed the boost on pump gas which is currently at 17psi. The car pulls like an SOB and gets some good rubber slamming into 3rd gear. Race gas and 4-5psi more boost will yield 400hp@wheels from a $400 bonestock SR20DET long block.

is that motor heavy compared to the stock one? just wondering if that power is offset by its added wieght. other than that.. thats really cool.. keep up the hard work.

That's pretty sweet. How's it compare to a modded up 13BTT ? Did you post any more pictures up recently?

Here is the dyno sheet you have to shift the rpm over a bit but anyway, like 240 said bone stock 93 pump gas and 17psi still a little rich up top needs some fine tunign just am tired and want to go home the motor is 65 lbs lighter than the rotary (engine&tranny) plus i took out the a/c and power steering..

Damn not fast enough with the pics. BTW, there is a problem yet to be resolved with the Mustang dyno so all results must be shifted over 700rpm higher than the graph depicts. I have been corrected that the pulls were to 7300rpm and not 7200rpm. So peak power actually occured a bit lower about 7K RPM.

How does a motor rated at 205hp dyno at 360.7 when you say it is bone stock? I see that you have turned the boost up form the base setting of 7psi but to net those results. That tubo does not look stock to me. Nor does the FMIC. So what is your definition of bone stock. Do you mean stock internals? Good numbers either way. I am just confused about this.

Yep, really nice install and good choice of an engine in my opinion. I'm impressed and happy you pulled it off nicely and so quickly.

I think he just means stock interals.

When we say bone stock we mean internals, this is a japanese junkyard motor that the head has not even been pulled off of....

The East Bear light kit has bulbs the same size. So either he replaced the outer light set with some custom smaller bulbs or that's not the East Bear kit. I am curious now too...

What turbine? That looks like a SR20DE not a DET. If it is an NA engine with a big *** turbo(or any turbo for that matter) it wont last long.
