Split Vacuum line pic

Is this the double throttle check valve?
It is next to the large pcv one and heads into the UIM.

Really don't want to take off the UIM, I'm sure I'd mess up more . . .

If there is enough slack, I can trim the split and hopefully press the line back on. But does it look like the line might have been too small or the check valve too large?

If it isn't long enough, can I "splice" more vacuum line in somehow? Anything to not have to get under the UIM.

Thanks for any help.

I think you can get to that one if you remove the pressure tank
no promises

I agree. If you have long needle-nose pliers, unbolt the pressure tank, flip it out of the way, and it will be fairly easy.

If you don't have long needle nose pliers, go get some. I bought a set from Harbor Freight with 90, 45, and 0 degree bend and they all get used.

Top left nipple on the UIM is DT.

Thing is once you see one hose like that it probably means there's more than one that is going to start giving you problems. When I was replacing a couple of my hoses the first time I had check valves falling apart in my hands, nipples on the solenoids cracking, hoses falling apart when I tried moving them, etc.

It looks daunting I'll give you that, but it's not as hard as you might think to just get under there and make sure your car continues to be reliable.

If you take your time, do one line at a time, you can easily do it in a couple days even if it's something you've never done.

Moving the tank did give me room.
Replaced all the vacuum lines with the rebuild last year.
Check valves are Viton, should all be the right size -- but this fit seems too tight.

Thanks

What type of vacuum line is that? Read my (numerous) posts on silicone vacuum line, Hose Techniques 3.5mm hose will NOT do that.
