I'd like to get the shift boot and the hand brake, just not sure where to go to get them. Also, where did you get the seats....I like the red stitching. I got one quote on reconditioning and red stitching my base model seats....$900....geez.... I could buy new seats for less!

That price actually sounds about right if you want to reupholster the seats with new material... Also, I doubt you can buy new oem seats for less.

I've got the base model seats. I converted the base model to an R1, but didn't do the seats, I liked the base model seats better. The carbon fibre look matches the carbon fibre wrap on all the interior parts. The price I got for adding red stitching to the base seats, and new seat foam was around $900.

Amayama didn't have the hand brake in stock so I ordered it from RHDJapan, couldn't justify Amayama's $318 for the Spirit shift boot, ordered it from Redline,,,,$41.65 shipped! Can you tell me where you got the red stitched seats. Thanks again for your info.

For the love of all that's holy guys-----
It's poor form on an internet forum to quote a post with multiple pictures at all, let alone over and over and over again.
Matt Gold's interior is super spiffy, but I don't need to scroll by it 17 times

Sorry about the quote 17 times.....I guess my forum manners need some work.
I installed Redlines Shift boot with no problems.I received the Spirit e brake assembly from Amayama. Everything fit Ok except the leather boot. Mazda must have changed the mounting ring it doesn't fit the original mounting holes of a 93 FD. I removed the old mounting ring from the old boot and tried to fit it to the new e boot.....the e boot is to small, it won't fit over the old mounting ring. I had to order another e boot from Redline. $280 for a red stitched e handle....ouch!
The RX7 Spirit E brake boot will not fit a 1993 RX7. I wonder if Matt Gold had that problem?

Hi guys thanks for the discussion about these parts.
I'm about to order the redline shift boot to go with the spirit r **** and ebrake.
I'm thinking about also ordering the redline trans cover.
Anyone else install the trans cover? I think it looks pretty good.

This is the finished look before the seats were red stitched.. Redline shift boot, console cover, Spirit ebrake with the Redline boot, I didn't like the Spirit ebrake boot, very thin leather. I had to swap the ebrake boot plastic mounting ring, the Spirit ring doesn't fit the '93 console.

That's the 3M 'carbon fiber' vinyl wrap. I wrapped the dash, all the interior plastic trim, outside door handle surrounds, and the R1 front spoiler. That stuff is super, it's easy to work with, very durable, it's been on the car for 4 years
and still looks as good as new. I actually like it better than the real carbon fiber, it has a soft textured feel, which goes nice with interior trim.

Super glues, JB weld and epoxy using plastic screen mess work well to fix and re-enforce all the plastic mounts. It's time consuming, I spent days scraping and sanding off that awful '93 coating Mazda put on all the plastic, it went soft after 10 years, and was a pain getting it off.
