Spirit-R knob/boot/e-brake part numbers?

Hi :)
I am trying to get my hands on the following Spirit-R interior pieces:

- Leather Shift Knob (R504-17-520-00)
- Leather Shift Boot (F176-64-330-02)
- E-Brake lever and boot (F175-44-010A)
- Belt guide for seats (F104-88-6J7-02)

But i am struggling to find the correct part numbers, and was hoping someone could help me verify that i got the correct numbers :)

Looks like you have the correct part numbers. I just recently ordered the belt guides from Ray Crowe... bought the shift knob from RHDJapan.

It does not matter what the part number is because MAZDA no longer offers them for sale, hasn't for years.

They sure do :)

Shift Boot
E-brake lever and boot

Asked about these specific parts 2 years ago, know for a fact they are no longer available. That dodgy websites "90%" chance means very little.

Have seen a few shift knobs floating around new though.

They are still available, or were a couple of months ago when I ordered them via Amayama. RHDjapan also lists them for sale :icon_tup:.

Curious how they have them and MAZDA does not.

What specifically did you order?

Ceylon 08-14-17 08:42 AM

SR gear knob, gear gaiter and handbrake. Amayama don't stock them, they order them directly from Mazda.

More magic from the retards at MAZDA Japan it seems then. MAZDA says no stock, and out of production for all these parts from my Spirit R's title. Maybe you have RZ part numbers will check into it next time I am there.

Got to love how they charge $325 for a simple leather shift boot, then charge only $255 for the entire E-brake assembly w/ leather boot.

So what's the deal then? :suspect: Is Amayama legit?

I want the spirit r interior trim items listed above, but I'm not going to drop over half a grand on leather boots and a knob, especially not ahead of reliability and performance parts.

Zepticon 08-18-17 12:07 PM

Amayama is 100% legit:) I have spent a couple thousand $ on parts there since i got the RX7 and had no troubles.
You make an order, they enquire mazda for availability and price, and you then pay or cancel depending on what they find.

Shipping from Japan to Europe is around a week. Only downside is they depend 100% on part numbers, so you need the EPC.

Updating this with some news. I was lucky to find a pristine set of Shift and ebrake boots used, but i still needed the knob. So i put up an order at amayama, and today they came back with a confirmation that the part was available and updated the order. Hopefully it is the correct one :D

I just received my Spirit R handbrake from Amayama so they're definitely legit.

I've happened upon Amayama in Googling around for parts, but it didn't look like you could order parts to the US from there. What site are you guys using (they seem to have multiple sites) and any tricks for using it?

Also, the page I was on was in Japanese.

No tricks, you just need the part number(s).

Sweet! Thanks for that!

Trying to wrap my head around why the shift boot costs so much:

Leather Shift Knob (R504-17-520-00) - $135.25
Leather Shift Boot (F176-64-330-02) - $325.22
E-Brake lever and boot (F175-44-010A) - $255.01
Belt guide for seats (F104-88-6J7-02) - $45.79

Its 4 pieces of leather stitched together with 4 sexy seams. The shifter is much simpler to make as it has only one sexy seam and two pieces. Less manual labor.

Maybe if you're simply comparing the knob to the boot but compare it to the e-brake handle. A complete e-brake assembly along with the handle, leather and stitching is cheaper than a shift boot??

Zepticon 09-08-17 01:25 PM

yeah, dunno, only reason i can think of :) Also, you could easily just buy a redline one.

Unfortunately, the pieces would never match.

Do you guys know if here is a part number for the steering wheel .

I read of a guy here that owned a spirit R , his Steering was used so he bought another one from Japan.

Not great photos - but this was my old FD.

JDM Spirit R eBrake, shift knob, wheel... but Redline shift boot.

I'm all for wasting money on my car... but I also have principals. I'm not spending $325 on principal alone.

I totally get it. That's why I haven't bought that boot.
