Speed limiter at 180km/h!?!?!?

I just done a WOT through 4th gear and noticed my car just cut out at 180km/h... my FD is completely stock besides an exhaust... do FD's have limiters? Or what? I don't want a speed limiter hehe.

Any ideas of the wording of the search... haven't found any JMD FD threads... only FC's...

Search for speed and limiter under the 3rd gen or regional forums:

Cut this (red/green):

Just remember to re-connect it if installing a Power FC, or the digital speedo wont work.

don't cut anything - buy a PFC instead

JDM = 180km/h limiter on ALL cars (with the exception of kei cars - which cut out, iirc, around 140)

I got to go for a ride in an imported kei car (nissan sunny? or something) and it definatly didn't need that limiter at 140, it felt like it would hardly do 130 flat out.

Where abouts is this located? I had a look at the wiring harness at the feet on the driver side, but couldn't find this... thank you.

Its not on the drivers side, it on the left side. You have to remove a plastic cover to get to it. Very easy.

There are several yellow boxes connected to the metal box. Which one is the red and green wire located on? I can't seem to take any of them off... do they take a lot of force?

Maybe the colour of the wire could be different? I took out the yellow box at the bottom of the metal box as mentioned, I pulled it out and turned it to the side and no red/green wire. What if the wire is a different colour? Would it work if someone told me which spot the wire was in, so I could cut that wire? Or is that to risky? Need help asap... only have a short time to disconnect it.

Thanks guys.

The wire is green with a red stripe, not red/green.
