well if i even understand corectly...the speed limiter at 108-9 i think, or 180k. i know at least the japanese cars have it, we in the states sure dont. easiest way i can think of is a new ecu. any upgraded ecu, from japan anyway, will have the speed limiter cut.

I don't think the american FD's have a speed governor. Or at least mine is really, really high. I've taken my FD to 140 mph on one highway.

my search on this last eyar brought up this info

"I know which one it is, Green red wire at the back of your meter panel in the white connector with 12 connectors. (the 12 connector plug behind the speedometer?).

i found the wire, cut it and spliced in a small switch that i routed to the dash area

the theory being that i can test if cutting the wire works by flicking the switch when i'm next driving at 180kph

BUT, here in crowded japan that just doesn't happen unless i go on the expressway...let us know if it works for you

Hi,

That was my post. You will want to cut the green silver wire however. Than it will be delimited.

Cheers

yes, buy a powerfc. i did and kazaam, no more speedlimiter,
do like me and get one with a comander from takakaira.com kost me about 6300kr (900$)
all the way to my door, and they where fast and helpfull to deal with,,, tok less time to send the apexi from the other side of the world than to get a pakage from oslo(400miles away)

and the car will be notisably quicker just after you plugg the apexi in,,, the engine management program it comes with is much better than the stock ecu+it runs a bit more boost.

the best mod you can do for your fd
