Something doesnt feel right

k well i sorted all the problems on my car now. but now my car isnt pulling hard how it use to, its doesnt have the kick back(almost 2 mnths ago it would pull quite hard). it makes perfect boost. Could it be something to do with clutch related or something to do with the engine?

Compression test? I had a similar issue and it turned out that I had blown a side seal on the rear rotor.

Obviously it's not running flawlessly, given that it lacks power. Trust me, you won't know you had low compression until you test it. A side seal going only compromises ONE rotor face, so it's not nearly as perceptible as apex seal failure.

possible you just got used to how the car feels.. drive in a slow car then get in there after 2 days of driving see how it feels now, or it could be ur clutch is slipping ?

do a 0-60 and time it report back

also do a 3rd gear boost run...its possible ur secondary turbo is not kicking in and the 10-8-10 is trailing with the primary only..same psi but not the same cfm

if it was a side seal your engine vaccuum would be off at idle

i think ur pull/kickback = TORQUE = )

im facing similar problems too... im suspecting primary turbo blown on my car, i feel a turbo lag, or barely feel boost or hear my turbos spin at low boost =O

but i feel it when i go on high boost, and i can hear and feel the secondary kick in =.=

My C5 doesn't feel as fast as it was when I bought it either. Just means I got use to 550hp.

yes i do have boost gauges and its boosting perfect!! I am running non seq. any ideas? i think it could be the turbos( i remeber lil while ago a little bit of smoke was coming out of it but that was only when i start my car after that it would go away, but this would happen only if i hadnt started my car in while or drivien it).

Here's a thought. Maybe you've just gotten used to the car at the level it's at now. That has happened to me a bunch of times. I thought my current car was fast when I first got it, but now it feels slow. Sometimes you just get used to the power that your car is making, so that "thrown back" feeling gets lost.

Other things you can look at:
- Heat? You have any way of telling what your IATs are?
- Oil change? When was the last time you changed the oil?
- Spark plugs?
- Fuel filter?

If the car runs perfectly then it probably isn't the last two, but you never know I guess. Decrease in fuel or spark, or hot intake air could definitely have an effect on the power your car is making, although I'm pretty sure the engine wouldn't be running smoothly if you had that kind of problem.

You said you had a boost gauge though, how can you not know your vac when it's right there in front of you?

.4 bar (6 psi)?

You said that it makes "perfect boost" Does that mean it's getting to the peak boost that you were seeing before? Is it taking longer for the turbos to spool at all, or are they building boost like they always have?

Check your couplers in the turbo system. Sometimes they can develop cracks or holes. Boost leak would definitely make your car seem slower. Change the air filter recently?
