Somebody hit me

I've only had my 7 for a few days and this dude at the Wendy's drivethru backed into me, he didn't even look my direction which just so happened to be RIGHT BEHIND HIM!!! Didn't do much damage though, he wasn't going that fast and it hit the middle of the front bumper, all I could see was some tiny cracks from it being pushed in and then let out, like the little white ones where the paint cracked. He was apologizing like crazy and said he had just bought an RX8 (he was driving an old Accord at the time). He ended up paying for my food too, haha. Sorry, not that interesting of a story, just was pissed cause I just got it and somebody already hit me, scared the **** outta me before I saw there wasn't much damage. I'm planning on getting a body kit in due time anyway so I'm not too worried about it.

It's real easy to not be noticed in this car - if you're close to them their rear-view looks right over an FD.

Good news is an OEM bumper skin will go a long way to buying a kit bumper.

Angry

Glad you were not hut first of all but I would be rather pissed of for most of the fact that the bumper cracked even if as you said it does not get noticed that much.

I would never leave any cracks on mine.

Assuming you don't replace the front bumper with the aftermarket unit,. when the paint starts to peel and fall off the impact area in a few months (or possibly sooner), you're gonna wish you had obtained all his information.

Well, thanks to those of you that said you're glad I wasn't hurt, haha. And I'm not sure the bumper is actually cracked or if it's just the paint, I believe it's just the paint, and I'll be getting it painted sometime anyway, so I'm not worried about it.

My commuter car has gotten bumped into twice in rush hour traffic, and daily driving. If there is not considerable damage, i just tell the person that hit me,

"we can call the cops, you get a ticket, then i can get an estimate to get it repainted, which i am clearly in the right to, or you can just give me 50 bucks and we will both be on our way"

My car is a piece of ****, so everytime i get 50 bucks for a little dent, or scratch i am gaining back my investmant.

That's not a bad idea, haha. Why didn't I think of that.
