So who's FD is actually finished??
Ok so I have been plodding away at my car over the last few weeks and it is finally finished!!! The car is all back together and I have finished all of the little bits and pieces that I needed to do!! My turbo's are working properly now and I now know the sequential system intimately and I have put my carbon fiber gauge surround in etc and had the power FC tuned!!! It's running mint (no traction under full boost in 2nd, haven't wound out 3rd yet) and tidied up a bunch of other little things.
It just feels great that finally after a year that it is finished!! I know most of these are never finished, always something else that can be done but this is all I am doing to it as I am putting it up for sale so I can get my next toy.
So I just want to see how many are out there where the owner is happy with everything and does not feel it needs anything else done for awhile at least.

I've been pretty humble in my build of my 7 and will probably finish within 6 months. Then I can get a daily and keep the RX7 for those sunny days. I decided to go single just because I don't understand the sequential system and have no real desired to even attempt to try and understand it. I'm a firm believer of KiSS.

Sir Braps A lot
i believe its a never ending process. because as soon as i get one thing done, or i buy something new. i want more parts to complament it so for me i doubt it will ever end, but i guess we have to wait and see

This is a funny question. My car still needs a few parts to be "finished," but since I am never completely satisfied, what may seem to be "finished" never really is in my opinion. There is always something else that I will want to do.
I guess my car is 95% finished in this stage of its life.

mine is... quite a ways away. supposed to get the autobody guy to take the car for the final work... and unfortunetly, i found out couple days ago that someone overheated my FD quite badly in its lifetime, i stress it was NOT me, and in this overheating, it cracked a center iron and a housing... so... MAJOR damage... which just pushes my build back even farther... maybe by August?

When it is done depends on what you want. My 93 touring is fini unless something breaks. I have a rebuild , Stage 1, RB cat back, DP, Greddy SMIC, Rotary Extreme Cold Air Intake, PFC and Commander, Rotor Sports Racing Fuel Pump, Rail and 1600cc injectors. It is all I want. Tuned at 13 psi last year with 300 at the wheel. Scary fast for me but I am 59.
Rock on.

I'm pretty much finished......if somebody would buy my freaking Fikse 18x10 Profil 5s I can pick up some 17 inch Fikses, and I might treat myself to a fresh ported motor in the next year, otherwise she is DONE!

And yes my car is finished. Im not doing sh*t anymore to it. You do one thing, another breaks and its the start of the domino effect.
Well actually i gotta repaint my rear spoiler so maybe its not finished?? LMAO
Nah its done, i dont consider that as being NOT done.

My bad ha ha I guess I asked the wrong question here ha ha. I know there is pretty always something else that needs to be done or can be done. I just wanted to see if there was anyone else that was happy with thier current set up etc and didnt need to constantly fix it up (yes i know its an rx7 ha ha). I may shoot myself in the foot here but this is the first RX7 I have owned that doesnt seem to need some work done on it one way or another all the time, I have built it well and kept the mods so it is reliable. My next one will be a different story as hell, its going to be grumpy and abusive but alot of fun!!

having an rx7 is like that ******* lamb chops song: "this is the car build that never ends, it goes on and on my friends, some people started modding, not knowing what it does and they'll keep modding on and on forever just because...."
yup, i actually remembered the words.
and even if the car is completely, 100% done, then at the very least, you should always have new tires on the list. if you're driving it the way it should be driven.

Trying to get better insurance, went through appraisal and first time put together receipts into XLS. Nothing major. No mods. Just getting car into shape with hoses, suspension, brakes, interior parts, etc. You get it.. Well - it's $8000 in last year after I bought car with rebuild engine.
It's done now, I almost finished. Car runs as it should, everything works, no leaks anywhere, no missing parts. Need CarPC installed and I will be driving it. I'm driving it already, but I will be driving it without thinking about something else. Oh, yes. Rear tires will be needed soon But I'm used to replacing tires on my 540
There is always something
