So i have a new (rebuilt) engine on the way...

I just want to do everything right so i was thinking about the initial engine breakin process. The engine i bought is an atkins rebuild with upgraded oil seals, o rings, 3mm atkins seals and a large street port. I bought the motor from FCPOOTER on this board and he is shipping it tomorrow, it has a few hours of runtime, he said the equivilant of maybe 10 miles or so. I am treating it as a brand new break in at this point because of the low mileage. I was told to obviously baby it for the first 1000miles with no engine revs above 4k. I am planning on running 20w50 amsoil, should i break it in on the same weight or use something thinner? oil changes every 500 untill 2000 is also what i heard. Any ideas???

breaking it in and then switching to synthetic should be ok, right? it would save some money too.
