Can anyone locate this relay?

My running lights, the lights that turn on, on the step just before the headlights turn on... Decided to stop working! The headlights still work, but none of the other lights do... but the brake, turn signals, hazards and all that stuff still work. So it leads me to believe that there is a relay for the running lights that has gone bad, I'm trying to find it in the FSM, but if anyone could tell me were this is, I would greatly appreciate it!

I would moreso suspect the headlight switch. I don't believe that circuit is on a relay.

Well It turns out it is the TNS relay up in the main fuse box in the very front of the car.

I keep having trouble with ALL those relays, because we mounted the box upside down for the FMIC, and it keeps filling up with water, and the headlights go apeshit, and go up/down/up/down/up/down/up/down..... Or lights don't work, or lights flash!!!! ahhhhh

I guess that is todays project, to remount that fuse box!

Don't ever mount it upside down!

Holy back from the dead post...

Just find a good used one. Should be SUPER easy to find the relays used and cheap. They're generally really hardy if you don't mount the box upside down and let them fill with water/short out .

All else fails, hit the Pick-and-Pull junkyard and look for '90s Mazdas. I'm sure you could get a pocketful for a dollar.

...this goes for solenoids, check valves, rubber mounts for radiator, radiator cap housing to bypass AST, harness connectors, thermal switches...etc etc.. The nice thing is that on non-turbo cars these parts are like brand new, not all brittle.
