So how fast have you gone?

I've had my FD to 172 mph (radar confirmed), how about everyone else?

Wow

I've only gone 155 as per the P-FC. 172 must have been very.......interesting.

Where you on a track? Any after market Aero goodies? Stock wing?

Haven't had a chance yet to take it to the limit. Did you get caught by a cop when you did 172 mph?

Actually, radar only works precisely when you are being lashed straight on. If there's an angle involved your actual speed would be higher than the measured speed.

At least that's what the guys at the US Open claim.

I did 160mph on a GSXR750 before letting off and pulling over to change my underwear:o I was going to St.George Utah with some friends and they all left me like I was standing still cause I hadn't been riding that long. Well, I got on it to catch up when I hit a big crack in the road and got a little wobbly. I got really scared and let off....when I looked down I was just passing 160. I guess I was going faster but can't confirm it....all I saw was 160.

I've only been 135mph in my FD Soon to be faster than that in the 1/4.

Did 155 when it was stock

Did 155 when it was stock, but now that it has 100+ more horses, it should do alot more. But the new big rear wing should keep it down under 170. One of these days I'll give it a run, probably after a big arguement with my wife. : )

142 then ran out of highway and with somewhat shitty tires. It felt like she plenty more left in her though.

My brother is a trooper. We closed off a small section of highway out in the middle of nowhere one day and he radared me. And yes, I have some aero mods, Knight sports body and Racing Beat rear wing. It get's real floaty around 170. Scary thing is, I know I could've gone MUCH faster, I never shifted out of fourth, I just ran out of road!

140 ish in my 87 TII - Had plenty more power, but it starts vibrating a bit up there... makes me nervous (intake/full 3 inch exhaust/PFC FCON)

150 ish in my 93 R1 - Had plenty more power also... wasn't even breaking a sweat. I just didn't feel like going any faster on that short stretch of road. Felt rock solid stable, in fact, I let go of the wheel and it just went straight ahead. (Intake/full 3 inch exhaust/M2 stage 3 ECU)

I'm trying to get my single turbo conversion up and running... that thing should be good for at LEAST 185+ or maybe even close to 200 when I'm done. I don't know that I'll ever try it though... maybe.....

Regards,
Brian

Dan, you have modified gears or something? Redline in 4th is about 140 ish right?

I did 155 and it felt fine but visions of what would happen if I lost control at that speed made me back off. Besides, even at midnight in the middle of nowhere there was an occasional car and a guy in a minivan must have been mighty suprised when I passed him at that speed!

I have gone a little over 150 when it was nearly stock and it was still pulling strong. I can hit 135 in 4th gear at 7500 rpms.

To tell the TRUTH..... it is pretty easy to pick out the stories..... seems to be a fairly honest crowd !!!!

I've spun '93 stock tourer up to 155 on the speedo w/ new Z-rated tread... it didn't have much left as I was running out of highway.... FUN FUN FUN..... my modded 900RR has hit 164 running side-by-side with the new 2001 GSXR1000..... both were very stable at those speeds with good pavement and great rubber. Time to do some mods on the RX7
